JT to Play for Obama in Asheville

Sen. Barack Obama's campaign is holding a free concert and rally with singer James Taylor. The renowned singer is holding concerts throughout North Carolina this weekend and will be in Asheville Sunday. The rally takes place at Martin Luther King Park and gates open at 6:30 p.m.

Taylor was raised in North Carolina, where his father was dean of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Taylor has garnered 40 gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards and five Grammy Awards.

Tickets are available at the following locations:

UNC Asheville, Zeis Building/1 University Heights

Friday Oct.17th and Saturday Oct.18th,10am-6pm

West Asheville Library/942 Haywood Road

It appears they have run out of tickets at the senior centre, UNCA and north asheville library. No idea if more tickets are allocated for tomorrow
