I just spent 35 minutes in my car looking for gas in West Asheville. There was none. There were frustrated motorists lining up at empty pumps because they saw someone trying to pump gas into their car and everyone though hey this station has some. Wow.

Yeah, there's no gas anywhere in West or South Asheville now and there's been no high octane since Friday. I have less than 1/8 tank in the borrowed car I'm driving (mine's in the shop again, fortunately, since it's also out of gas) and my brother is stuck at his house for the duration. He heard that there may be none until Wednesday. Meanwhile, people everywhere else are fine.

Drove all the way to exit 81 on I-40 before finding gas at about 10am. It was surreal to have a police escort to a pump. I did hear that when they gas is released in the pipeline that it moves 4 miles per hour and that it could be 5 to 10 days before we see any relief and gas back to normal. Ugh!
