O good idea, Screwy!

I'm hot! As in, sweating hot, not sexy hot. Though I might be that too.

I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the death and dismemberment in the local news lately. I saw the end result of that accident that killed the college student on Merrimon yesterday--just around the corner from the pnav.

Otherwise, I'm ready for the kids to get back to school. And for me to have time to write and contribute to BlogAsheville!

How are you guys?

There are two events in town this Sunday, you may want to clone yourself. Sunday, August 13 at 2:00, Matthew Fox will be speaking at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Charlotte St. He is a more-than-theologian and author of "Creation Spirituality", and "Original Blessing". He is doing good work. At UNCA, at 2:00 on Sunday, (so little time, so much to do!) the movie, "From Freedom to Fascism" is playing. Ouch! This one is intense and may inspire you to start a secessionist movement.

as my grandfather used to say, i'm busier than a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest. unfortunately, it's my butt that's being kicked. by my own leg. or something.

I'm also ridiculously busy with political gamesmanship as well as the day job.

Drinking Liberally has been a lot of fun.

I've been eating right and exercising.

And, this is twisted I know, I really dig the humidity. That moisture seeping into my lungs makes me feel calm and alive.
