Local Music, Dessert Tasting, Belly Dancing This Sunday

Some of us know Steve Liebenhaut as the unflappably friendly Amazing Savings checkout guy with silver hair and glasses.

Liebenhaut celebrates his birthday this weekend in an amazing way yet again this year with a charity benefit and local music showcase at the Grey Eagle.

The Eagle Flies on Sunday benefits Loving Food Resources, an Asheville-based nonprofit that provides food and personal care items to local people living with HIV/AIDS or in home hospice care.

Bands this year are Gas House Mouse and (Councilwoman Cape and) the Buckerettes.

New this year is SeSen bellydance troupe.
