Thank you for the nominations of A Year in Asheville and ephemera.

I'm honored to be included among such great blogs, and I'm grateful for the recognition.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the event.

Yeah, UR, there were a lot of people nominating a lot of blogs. It's an amazing list.

My goodness. Here I thought I was blogging in the wilderness literally and figuratively and I have been nominated five times. My goodness. I'm shocked.

I guess I will definitely have to come to the extravablogaversipaloozathonamado (with an a,i and a mado).

Monica Cassani said...

I'm shocked too. This nomination was completely unexpected. thank you to whomever is responsible...

certainly do hope to attend the party and meet all of you.

Despite the fact that Domestic Bliss isn't even on the BlogAsheville blogroll anymore, she wanted me to pass along her excitement about being nominated for Biggest Slacker.

See you all at Extravablogiversapneumoniaultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosisathon!

Jason Bugg said...

I nominated myself and expect to win, if only to stand before the entire local blogasphere and tell them what ninnies they all are.

"Remember that if you won an award last year, bring a prize to the Extrava for award winners this year."

What kind of prize exactly? I couldn't attend last year's so I'm not sure what is expected. I refuse to bring any politician's head on a stick though so don't even ask!

Thanks again, Bloggers...I think.

Naked?!? AIEEE My Eyes!

If it weren't for the pigmask I wear in public none of you would know who I was...(although some of you know me by an alias)

Gordon Smith said...

Pet,

Whatever you think an award winner would like. Be creative.

petullant said...

Any awards last year that were particularly coveted? Or any general ideas?

Shad Marsh said...

A night with Joey Heatherton!

Jason Bugg said...

I will win an award, or else will pull down my pants and take a poop on the party.

Kid Friendly Asheville said...

Kid Friendly Asheville thanks BlogAsheville for the nomination!! We promise to keep your kids from being bored. Or at least get them out of the house.

Edgy Mama said...

Petulant,
Last year, I brought a pop-up book of sexual positions (yeah, so may be I had sex on my mind). I won a plastic alligator and a letter opener. I still use the letter opener, but I have no idea where the gator resides (probably in my boy's room). I coveted the six-pack of craft beer and the painting by Genie Maples. Just to give you some ideas!

petullant said...

Thank you edgy mama! I heart you for giving me some idea. I now know exactly what to bring - and not just a man-diaper for Jason Bugg.

Ukulele Rockstar said...

This Ukulele Rockstar is honored to have my blog included amoung so much talent!

Alas, I'm bummed that I have a gig the night of the party. (I mean, I'm glad I have a gig, but it would be nice to do both.)

Of course, I would probably be too shy to talk to all you clever people anyway.

Ukes not nukes,
Ami

The categories are just too much fun! I can't wait to go and look at so many of these. Although my Paint Outside the Frame was not nominated, I do believe our new site coming soon ASTA:ASHEVILLE: STATE OF THE ARTS will be a winner for information for artists about workshops, events, interviews, new art products and anything and everything ART related in Asheville all in one place. We aren't here long, but we are working on our workshops and getting to know you all! And spending money in the community trying to keep the dollars local too!

How is it that Hangover Journals didn't get a nom for "blogger I'd most like to have a beer with"? Guess that's what happens when I'm lazy...
