A Rafter of Turkeys

This is a splinter group of the famous North Asheville wild turkey rafter. This group includes two hens and four poults. That's one of my cats, Houdini, who has been stalking them unsuccessfully for weeks.

Anyone else remember the brou-ha-ha a few years back when some guy shot one of the turkeys?

Those turkeys would eat Houdini like a thanksgiving...um...like a Christmas ham. It's lovely to read the venereal term used correctly. Rafter of turkeys has been a favorite along with a superfluity of nuns.

I do remember that shooting - it was about three years ago. I think the shooter was charged, but he probably just got off with paying a fine.
