HAPPENING, a fundraiser and party (Wedge beer, DJ, food, dancing, open mic, gallery art, an informational "salon" with Asheville nonprofit heroine Jolene Mechanic) kicks off a new series of Saturday night events in the tradition of the weekend blowouts at Black Mountain College, where booze met art in the best possible way.
The kickoff event this Sat. is in Asheville at the Mechanic Building; after that events move to Black Mountain and the original BMC Dining Hall site.
