Thanks for posting this. The story behind the story is that TopFloorStudio has been running an experimental social-networking campaign to try and get the word out. It started with 2 classes at UNCA (PR and Advertising). Our lecture was on creating and executing social-network campaigns, our assignment was to break-up into groups and create campaigns that could help us reach our goal of 1000+ cookies.

The facebook group is called "Help one girl sell 12,000 Girl Scout cookies in Asheville!" search 12000 girl. If you want to help invite your friends.

I loves my Girl Scout Cookies. I just think it would be rude to order some even when it says "you have to live in WNC so that we can actually deliver to you." That is a pretty wide geographic area and I don't live close to anything.

Are you nuts?

We can meet you somewhere. If you need girl scout cookies we are determined to hook you up, but we will need you to be a bundler and buy more than 24 boxes, $84 for a year supply. Not bad.

The vid was taken down, I think because the Girl Scouts admin had a problem with it. But stay tuned for more on the cookie saga...

The Girl Scouts of the USA guidelines for the 2009 sales program clearly state that the use of the internet is intended for advertising only, as such I hope you will remove your ordering site soon.
Here is the link to Standard 30 that applies to this situation:

Key to our Girl Scout Law are the principles of fairness and being a sister to all Girl Scouts.
