Yes, there's been a invasion of the blog-snatchers. Many local bloggers have neglected their blogs recently, with varying reasons/excuses. Here are just a few who happen to offer attempts at explanation or apology:
Scrutiny Hooligans
Edgy Mama
So Much for Tact
Husband Wanted
Jennifor Saylor
Even AshVegas hasn't posted anything in nearly three days.
Are blogs dying? It's absolutely mind-blogging.

oh, I'm feeling it, and well-prepared to use the title of Scrutiny Hooligans post "Bloggui," oh yeah, I feel it coming....and was thrilled to find the right word to use!!
I'm feeling it, too. It's been a couple of weeks for me. *cough*
Maybe we're all starting to cycle together?
Wouldn't surprise me, Gordon. You, me and Ash have been doing this for four years now! Cycling together makes sense.
I think Ash left town without telling anyone.
Weird. I've been upping my blog game lately. But I might be living in an inversely proportional universe. The big debate right now is whether Joe Satriani got ripped off by Coldplay.
I'm trying to limit my junk to once per day. Of course if you are not into Asheville crafts, pugs, or yarn, there's no point in visiting. Except for this holiday light post. http://crochetashevillediva.blogspot.com/2008/12/holiday-mayhem-and-noro-contest-for.html
Chill out. We're closing in on Christmas. And people are out looking for jobs. ;)
You city folks are wimps. I had one day of Bloggui, then got back out there in the cold and the wind and the snow and kept on blogging. But then, I have no job to distract me from blogging.
don't call me a wimp...while I feel it coming on I've avoided it...I've filed Bloggui in the back on my mind...but I've in reality posted more in the last month in a half than I ever have in that amount of time...
14 posts this month already...
it's just at the same time it feels like I'm dragging...and I keep thinking it's going to come to a halt....
Fear of bloggui? Maybe it's a phobia...
Plenty of blogging happening at Blog Hendersonville and Hendersonville Epicurean
It's hard to keep up with everything that's going on "down south", let alone in Asheville!
I do love reading all you guys, so please get back to the keyboard!!
I was wondering what was going on. It is hard to keep up with everything else that is going on, especially with the Season, and then the economy is a little depressive, and so on. Being motivated helps sometimes, but our motives are what keeps us giving when we do not even want to, lol. And then again, you have to always watch those too...
it's going around at the moment. i've got it real bad. i keep posting but don't have much to say. i'm motivated but words simply fail me when i look around me.
If anyone is sick of posting and would like to have their blog destroyed, I'm available for guest posting services.
What sort of demolition are you offering?
Gordon,
I have several plans available, all at reasonable rates, ranging from your standard meh, to the full-on craptacularification.
Hey Shad, perchance have you met J. Bugg? He too has great and insidiously destructive power. I remember times of just running along with a pleasantly focused bloggy thread, when suddenly it's ripped away and dropped like gauze from a mummy. It's strangely okay; it feels good even, as if it were some sort of entertainment. So yeah, you're a pirate like Bugg. The nice difference is that you ask for permission.
I don't usually respond to adjectives, but in this case I think you have misunderestimated me.
