Free Extravablogiversapaloozathon Parking!

It looks like there will be plenty of parking in Downtown Asheville this weekend, and just in time for Saturday's Extravablogiversapaloozathon! From the Citizen-Times:
Parking is free on streets and in city garages following a shutdown of many Asheville government services to conserve fuel.

Parking will be free through Monday while city parking services is closed, said Cathy Ball, Transportation and Engineering Department director. Parking services will open again Tuesday.

"We are not actively enforcing on-street parking. Parking in City owned garages is free," Ball said. "If we have a problem with illegal parking such as in a fire lane or loading zone we may have call in enforcement staff to resolve these problems."
