Asheville Free Book Exchange

Just read about this on a listserv. Anyone been?:
We are Asheville's newest recycling center, keeping books out of the landfill and on bookshelves in your homes… We accept donations for all kinds of books and give books away for free. We are happy to display art for local artists and we do not take commission for any work that is bought or sold.

Our studio space has free books, free wi-fi, comfy couches, a children's section and really nice people. We can screen movies, host benefits, have book circles, story time, classes, you name it… and we can grow with the help of volunteers getting involved and bringing their own ideas to the Asheville Free Book Exchange.

Asheville Free Book Exchange is located at 191 Lyman St. at the Riverview Station in Asheville's river district.

This is a wonderful place! Just went yesterday with an armful of books and came home with an armful more. Terrific spot to read, browse, meet up with a friend. Lots of great books and warm and cozy atmosphere. I could have spent hours just hanging out and looking at all the titles. It deserves community support so go check it out!

Oooooo! Haven't heard of the Free Book Exchange, but I'm there ASAP!!

It almost seems too good to be true. If it is true, I'll be one of their biggest boosters, spreading the word on both blogs I publish: Hendersonville Epicurean and Blog Hendersonville.
