Perhaps you, like me, were unaware of the internet phenonmenon that is Etsy.com?
"Etsy is an online marketplace for buying & selling all things handmade.
Our mission is to enable people to make a living making things, and to reconnect makers with buyers.
Our vision is to build a new economy and present a better choice:
Buy, Sell, and Live Handmade."
Well, in keeping with our theme of all things Asheville, we will be adding an Asheville Etsy link list (with the possibility of an actual Asheville Etsy blog page) very soon in the future, in order to share the goodness that our local folks are making!
That said, if you have an etsy store, or if you know of a friends from Asheville or WNC, please leave a comment or email us: blogasheville (at) hotmail.com
Thanks in advance,
The BlogAsheville Crew

Just a little note for those who are unfamiliar with the site but would like to use it to shop local artists' stores:
If you go to Etsy.com and look at the navigation buttons on the left you will see a "Shop Local" button. You can type in Asheville and the 100 most recently updated Asheville shops will pop up for you to poke through.
Happy shopping!
Woohoo!
I'll check it out!

Can anyone make a cool EtsyAsheville sidebar button?
=)
unfortunately, it wont give a persistant http address once you do the search, so i may not be able to do a direct link to exactly asheville etsy, but to the search bar.
still very cool!
Thanks for reminding me about the Etsy phenomenon! I checked and found a couple Weaverville stores. Links are here if you want to add them to you list: http://myweaverville.com/2008/01/18/weaverville-on-etsy/
It just dawned on me, that I read you daily and never asked to be listed on your blogroll.
Could you please?
And I also have an Etsy shop that I just started.
Thanks!
Still loving your WLOS recaps
I've fallen in love with Etsy!
