City Councilman Bryan Freeborn serves up hot dogs at Vance Elementary for something having to do with Cinco de Mayo. I don't know what hot dogs have to do with Cinco de Mayo, nor do I know what Bryan Freeborn has to do with dishing cafeteria food. But I found the image at Ashevillein and had to show y'all.

I'd like for someone to send me the companion picture of Carl Mumpower serving up some righteous biscuits or stealing some crack or something.
Yeah, like Mumpower would do anything like serve the community if he were not getting anything in return.
The hot dogs did not, per se, have anything to do with Cinco de Mayo, it was just some of the refreshments, along with more ethnic choices available for the festival.
For the record, Freeborn is an active parent of a Vance kid. As am I.
Oh he's the parent of a Vance kid. I get it now.
Good on him for getting down to the schoolhouse and pitching in.
