Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid

Tomorrow is the Day of the Beast and frankly, it's just kind of hard to decide how best to celebrate. I mean, should you crawl under your bed? Go to the movies? Get married? Get drunk? Play Slayer? Well, clearly, yeah, the Slayer is the way to go: something we can all get behind. Personally, I'm going to wear black. I know, that's a stretch. And you? It might be the end of the world!

June 6th is also the anniversary of D-day in WWII - the invasion of Europe by the Allied Troops - I imagine for some of those young soldiers - it was the end of the world.

I loved your pictures of Asheville even though the prosperity did not last, the buildings are still lovely.

i actually did try to celebrate yesterday by listening to slayer, but i couldn't get more than 45 seconds into "angel of death" without laughing. especially that scream during the song's intro - utterly ridiculous. but heav-vee!
