Has Anyone Else Read Anything By...

Diana Gabaldon? She wrote the Outlander series and I'm just finishing the fourth book, Drums of Autumn.
I can't stop! The best historical fiction I have EVER read. The first
book is a bit shocking but once I got through it I couldn't
resist the urge to find out what happens next. The second book I
devoured in two weeks! (Considering the size of the book that's big for me) Anyone else reading the series? Because "The next book, tentatively titled A Breath of Snow and Ashes,
will be published 27 September 2005.
" !!!!

if i'm not mistaken my wife has read diana gabaldon - not sure how big a fan of hers she is (she's possibly even more voracious about books than i am about music), but if i remember correctly she had good things to say about the outlander series.

i'll pass the word along!

Thanks for the link, Beth.

My mother-in-law actually gave me the series to read and I put it off until I had nothing left on my agenda to read and grudgingly cracked open the book. After reading the first chapter wild hoarses couldn't drag me away....I am forever a fan.

Syntax, I have a bit of a voracious book appetite myself. Though I do take a while to finish one because I tend to savor every word...Mmmm!

ps- I will never look at my mother-in-law the same way again.

i don't read as often as i should. i think because i'm an ex-english major and i was forced to read a lot of pretentious crap that was packaged and taught as "important works of literature", i'm probably rebelling against the whole reading thing somewhere in the back of my mind. i've found it really hard to read for pleasure anymore.

it's a shame, really.
